Photocopiers
Plastic radial ball bearing assemblies are used in photocopier machine applications. They are designed to be maintenance free and operate without lubrication allowing them to be non-contaminating to their environment. Engineered polymer race bearings improve the performance and capabilities over conventional steel bearings or plastic bushings while providing value added capability for a substantial cost savings. They are used in this application due to their ability to run without lube, low start up torque and integration ability. We have custom designed and integrated pulley and roller profiles with our polymer bearings for use as belt idlers, tensioners and roller assemblies for total performance and a substantial cost savings.
Critical Design features: Acetal POM plastic races fitted with 316 stainless balls. Features a single or double row True Race Technology™ ball groove construction for optimum load, stiffness, and moment loading capability.
Additional reasons for use:
- Value added capability: A KMS plastic bearing can be designed to include mounting features, gears, or pulleys, and can also be integrated to the application at no added cost to the bearing. This capability can reduce assembly time while improving the performance of your product.
- Reduce parts count: integrating a mounting feature to the inner race and a pulley profile to the outer race for maximum reduction in parts count and reduction in assembly time.
- Weight savings: A KMS plastic ball bearing is 1/5 the weight of a steel bearing thereby reducing the weight of your overall unit.
