316 Stainless Bearings for Pharmaceutical Production
KMS 316 stainless steel radial ball bearings are used in a single-use, stirred-tank bioreactor system for a variety of drug processes. 316 stainless bearings are used as a shaft support for the mixing impeller. A KMS 316 stainless bearing can run without lubrication or use the liquid that it is running in as the lubricant. For this application the rings and balls underwent additional post machining passivation to ensure purity.
Critical Design Features: 316 stainless rings and balls - full complement all stainless construction or 316 stainless rings and balls fitted with a PEEK polymer cage. Bearing construction features True Race Technology™ ball grooves.
Additional reasons for use:
- Flow-Thru Technology™:- KMS exclusive anti-clogging bearing design. A KMS bearing is designed to tolerate suspended particles without clogging.
- Made from food and medical grade 316 stainless. Additional passivation is available upon request.
